A Much Needed Break

Today I woke up at around 9 AM and went to Cynthia's room to watch High School Musical on Netflix. While waiting for everyone to wake up, she curled my hair with her curling iron from Target. Afterwards, I sent a picture of my hair to my family and my sister told me that I look like a poodle. While Cynthia curled Maria's hair, Magaly curled Thao's hair. It was interesting because Maria and Thao have never or only once curled their hair.

Throughout the day everyone complimented us on our hairs so we told them that we got it done in "Cynthia's salon."

Magaly, Thao, Muang, Izabel, Cynthia, Stephanie, and I took the bus to the mall in Providence, Rhode Island. Once we got there, Magaly and I went to many clothing stores while the rest went to eat brunch. The both of us weren't hungry because we ate leftovers from yesterday's dinner. Although I had money to spend thanks to the ILC who gave me fifteen dollars a day, I tried not to spend a lot. I bought a maroon jacket, two flower headbands, and one crop top.

After we went to the mall, we took the bus back to Thayer Street and walked to Perkin Halls to drop off our bags in our dorm. We then met up with Jenny at a restaurant to eat pizza for dinner. We each had at least four different types of pizza and delicious salad. It wasn't until after dinner that I realized I had lost my lanyard, which has my dorm key and Brown ID. I hope someone returns it so that I don't have to go through a long process.

After we ate, we went to Waterfire which was near the concert and the mall. It wasn't as great as we all expected because it was just literally fire on the water.

Thao, Maria, Stephanie, and I had to walk back to our dorm at night but we tried to make the best of it. We sang songs and speed walked. We even went to eat a taro ice cream tonight. I met new people at the place where we bought ice cream. It turns out that they all live at Perkin Halls too. One of the four people is also Korean, which I thought was cool. When I came back to the dorms, he passed by my dorm and it made me wonder why we never noticed each other until today. It's a small world after all. When I came back to the dorms, I was so tired and fell asleep on accident. It was nice to get to sleep in today, but I was extra tired by the end of the day.

  1. Your "curly/wavy" hair looks nice. It's hard to believe that with Thao's mother being a stylist that this is her first curling.

All I have to do is wash my hair and it's naturally curly. I have to straighten it after every shower.
